TCA Chemical Peel 

TCA peel in and near East Brunswick NJ is one of the most popular types of chemical peel performed in medical spas. TCA peels FDA-approved, noninvasive treatments use trichloroacetic acid (TCA) to remove the damaged top layer of skin, which is replaced over the next weeks with new skin cells, creating a smoother, brighter, more evenly toned, and younger-looking skin complexion. TCA peel can also be used as an intensive spot treatment, can treat hyperpigmentation, discoloration, sun damage and age spots, melasma, uneven skin texture, freckles, acne scars, diminishing the appearance of wrinkles or other skin blemishes. TCA peels usually require 2 or 3 treatments 4 weeks apart for the best optimal results.

How TCA Cross Treatment Works

During this treatment, a solution of trichloroacetic acid (TCA) is applied to the client’s face. Sometimes it needs to be neutralized after application.

Skin will be slightly redder and feel tight for 2-5 days after the treatment. Client will also begin to shed skin during this time. If you had a light TCA peel, you would peel for about 2-5 days.

You will be more sensitive to sunlight for 4-6 weeks after TCA cross peel, so you should avoid sun exposure for 4-6 weeks or use at least 50 SPF when you can’t. You will see results as soon as in one week as you are finished peeling, and your skin should continue to improve for 30-60 days.

Contraindications:

  • Accutane within last 12 months
  • Pregnancy or lactation
  • Dermatitis, psoriasis, eczema,
  • Currently on chemotherapy or radiation
  • Cold sores
  • On blood thinners
  • Recent face wax
  • Using Retinol, Retinoic Acid, Vitamin A – must discontinue at least 5-7 days prior treatment
  • Recent cosmetic injections
  • History of keloids (a type of raised scar)

Light Jessner’s Bright Peel

Composition: Jessner’s Bright formula +2% Hydroquinone. Self-neutralizing

Provide significant exfoliation. Improve skin tone, texture, sun damage, aging spots & mild scaring.

Some risk irritating sensitive skin. ph 2.45

Contraindications:

  • milk or aspirin allergy
  • accutane within last 12-month history of keloids (a type of raised scar
  • recent face wax
  • using Retinol, Retinoic Acid, Vitamin A – must discontinue at least 5-7 days prior treatment

 Lactic Acid Peel

Composition: 25% Lactic peel. pH 1.50. Must be neutralized

Best works for dry to sensitive and/or aging skin. Attracts and holds water in the skin.

Improves fine lines, lightening dark spots and hyperpigmentation

Contraindication:

  • milk allergy
  • Accutane within last 12-months
  • History of keloids (a type of raised scar)
  • recent face wax, using Retinol, Retinoic Acid
  • Vitamin A – must discontinue at least 5-7 days prior treatment

Mandelic Acid Peel

Composition:  Mandelic Peel 30%. pH 2.0 Delivered from bitter almonds. Must be neutralized.

Great starter peel. Good for skin rejuvenation and healing.

Best use on normal to combination or aging skin. Increase skin ability to bind water.

Contraindication:

  • nut allergy
  • accutane within last 12-months
  • recent face wax, using Retinol, Retinoic Acid
  • Vitamin A – must discontinue at least 5-7 days prior treatment
